CALL FOR PROPOSALS: Launch of 2007 Global Development Marketplace
The next global competition has just been launched, this time focused on Health, Nutrition and Population. Entitled "Improving Results in Health, Nutrition and Population for the Poor", we are looking for innovative initiatives to improve health, nutrition and population outcomes for poor people in developing countries.
We are especially looking for:
- Innovative inter-sectoral linkages, such as improving water supply, sanitation services, indoor air pollution, roads, etc., for illness/disease/injury prevention;
- Innovative mechanisms to reach vulnerable groups;
- Public-private partnerships to improve delivery of health goods and services; and
- Cost-effective approaches/methods/technologies to improve local capacity to gather, analyze and apply health, nutrition and population data.
Proposal Deadline: November 17, 2006; Finalists Announced: February 9, 2007; Marketplace and Knowledge Exchange in Washington, D.C.: May 22-23, 2007
