We currently the two different types of grants: CGIAR Research Grants and PhD Field Research Fellowships. Although both have the objective of capacity building in the area of research theory and methods and strengthening ties between the CGIAR and its partners, the CGIAR Grants Program is open to CGIAR researchers only while PhD Field Research Fellowships are open PhD students wishing to undertake their thesis research in collaboration with a CGIAR project.
